Autoresponders Explained

Autoresponders are the automated messages that you get when you send someone an email or fill in an online form. Most autoresponders serve as acknowledgments that your communication was received, and to let you know the recipient will respond personally or that your order was received. If you are serious about becoming a successful Internet Affiliate marketer the proper use of autoresponders will go a long way towards that goal. They are an essential marketing tool. Here are 7 other ways to use autoresponders to make money.

1. Send Answers to FAQs
This is a time saver for you, and time is money. If people write to your company with the same questions, create an autoresponder that sends answers to all of them, with an invitation to reply if the FAQ page doesn’t answer their question.

2. Product Information
Use an autoresponder to send information and updates about other aspects of your company to people requesting information or ordering products/services.

3. Send Links to Other Products
Develop a cooperative advertising program with similar companies or service providers where each of you sends autoresponders that include information for the other company.

4. Send Free Stuff
You can use autoresponders to send free eBooks or links to other freebies to further customer loyalty.

5. Sell Coursework
If your company has a product that can benefit from detailed training, use your autoresponder to sell coursework and manuals.

6. Sales Letter
You can use autoresponders as sales letters with multiple stages--just set it up to send out several after the client initiates contact (of course with an unsubscribe option).

7. Send Discounts and Coupons
If your customer orders a certain product, send a coupon for another. For instance, if s/he orders a computer, send a coupon for a printer. If someone just requests information on a product, send a coupon for that one.
