Pros: You will learn effectively how to dominate any clickbank niche, how to choose a winning product to promote, what’s a clickbank gravity, how to choose your keywords, how to increase your income, how to generate a flood of traffic, how to create landing pages, how to adjust your budget and what to do when you receive a google slap.

With these things you’ll have the power to sky rocket your income as an affiliate even if this is your first time your hearing about affiliate marketing.

Will it cost you anything to join? Most affiliate programs being offered today are absolutely free of charge. So why settle for those that charge you some dollars before joining.

When do they issue the commission checks? Every program is different. Some issue their checks once a month, every quarter, etc. Select the one that is suited to your payment time choice. Many affiliate programs are setting a minimum earned commission amount that an affiliate must meet or exceed in order for their checks to be issued.

What is the hit per sale ratio? This is the average number of hits to a banner or text link it takes to generate a sale based on all affiliate statistics. This factor is extremely important because this will tell you how much traffic you must generate before you can earn a commission from the sale.

How are referrals from an affiliate’s site tracked and for how long do they remain in the system? You need to be confident on the program enough to track those people you refer from your site. This is the only way that you can credit for a sale. The period of time that those people stay in the system is also important. This is because some visitors do not buy initially but may want to return later to make the purchase. Know if you will still get credit for the sale if it is done some months from a certain day.

What are the kinds of affiliate stats available? Your choice of affiliate program should be capable of offering detailed stats. They should be available online anytime you decide to check them out. Constantly checking your individual stats is important to know how many impressions, hits and sales are already generated from your site. Impressions are the number of times the banner or text link was viewed by a visitor of your site. A hit is the one clicking on the banner or text links.

Does the affiliate program also pay for the hits and impressions besides the commissions on sales? It is important that impressions and hits are also paid, as this will add to the earnings you get from the sales commission. This is especially important if the program you are in offers low sales to be able to hit ratio.

Who is the online retailer? Find out whom you are doing business with to know if it is really a solid company. Know the products they are selling and the average amount they are achieving. The more you know about the retailer offering you the affiliate program, the easier it will be for you to know if that program is really for you and your site.

Is the affiliate a one tier or two tier program? A single tier program pays you only for the business you yourself have generated. A two tier program pays you for the business, plus it also pays you a commission on the on the sales generated by any affiliate you sponsor in your program. Some two-tier programs are even paying small fees on each new affiliate you sponsor. More like a recruitment fee.

Lastly, what is the amount of commission paid? 5% - 20% is the commission paid by most programs. .01% - .05% is the amount paid for each hit. If you find a program that also pays for impressions, the amount paid is not much at all. As you can see from the figures, you will now understand why the average sales amount and hit to sale ratio is important.

These are just some of the questions that needed answering first before you enter into an affiliate program. You should be familiar with the many important aspects that your chosen program should have before incorporating them into your website. Try to ask your affiliate program choices these questions. These can help you select the right program for you site from among the many available.

One of the hardest things for someone to decide when they first start marketing online is which affiliate program to choose. Many of them actually end up floundering in their marketing efforts because they never really settle in and choose one at all. How To Choose A Good Affiliate Program

There are thousands of affiliate programs to join, but only a select few that are worth your time. I tend to receive a lot of e-mails asking my opinion on affiliate programs x, y and z. Most of them I've never heard of, so I can't lend my support to these readers. Chances are they aren't one of the big networks.

When choosing an affiliate program, try to keep these points in mind.

1. What merchants do they work with? Are they reputable?

I've seen some affiliate programs that advertise companies I've never heard of, or ones that aren't even located in North America. One program I joined turned out to only feature adult merchants, but you'd never know it by the publisher sign up page.

2. When do you get paid? And how?

I only join programs that pay by check or PayPal. I don't like wire transfer payments for many reasons. The first one being I don't want to give away my bank account information. Secondly, there are usually fees associated with accepting wire transfers. Sometimes the fees outweigh your actual profit. If a program says you'll get paid every 2-3 months, pass on it. Usually you'll get paid once a month, or sometimes every two weeks (which I recommend). I don't like waiting to get paid and neither should you.

3. Does the affiliate program have an affiliate program?

This isn't absolutely necessary, but if the program you belong to has its own affiliate program where you can earn extra commission for signing someone else up, it's an added bonus. Most of the time you'll get paid a certain percentage for tier 1sign ups and a lower percentage for tier 2 sign ups. Some programs offer lifetime payments from your referrals, but some will only pay you for one year from your referrals. Either way, it's extra money in your pocket.

4. Do your research. What's everyone else using?

When I choose to sign up with a program, I already know quite a bit about the program from asking others who are promoting it.

5. Are there incentives?

Some affiliate networks offer a sign up bonus, which basically puts free money in your account as soon as you open it. Other programs will give you similar incentives, but you shouldn't make it a requirement when considering to join or not. Incentives are nice, but it shouldn't be your deciding factor.

Once you selected the program, sign up with Clickbank and get your hoplink to your chosen program.

Step 3 : Create A “Look-alike” Opt-In Page

Next, create a simple Opt-in page that sort of resembles the look and feel of the merchant’s pitch page.

Do not just copy and paste text from your merchant’s website. This is not ethical unless you sought prior consent from the owner. It may be quick and fast but the market will know soon enough trust me unless you are some kind of fly-by-night business which will self-destruct on the internet as all the fundamentals of business practice will still apply online.

An opt-in page is one where you can collect your subscriber’s name and email before you point them to the hoplink (the merchant’s sales page). By doing so, you are building yourself a list of customers where you could build relations with instead of starting from ground zero again when you market a 2nd affiliate product.

Try and give away a freebie for people to opt-in if you like.

Step 4 : Use An Autoresponder

Your prospect may not buy from you at the first attempt. If you know how to use an autoresponder, this is where you could simply write a series of “sales-pitching” emails to convince your prospect over time. A good rule of thumb is about 5 to 7 emails.

Highlight one unique selling point of the affiliate product in each email.

Do not spam your list. If they will not buy from you after 5 emails, they probably will not buy from you at all.

Step 5 : Drive Traffic To Your Opt-In Page

With all your autoresponder emails set up, the last task which is the most difficult is to drive traffic to your website.

I want to talk to you about how you make products make you a living so that you don't have to "work" for a living.

First, let me remind you of something in case you don't know.

I've been at this "Game" longer than just about anybody still active and producing in our market.

Back BEFORE the Big Seminar, BEFORE Yanik's seminars, BEFORE about anyone's seminars, Jonathan Mizel, Declan Dunn and yours truly put on the shindig known as the "Boulder Seminar." For 4 years, we put on the seminar everyone who was anyone attended to get the real inside scoop on Internet marketing.

I've spoken around the world at over 120 seminars.

I've successfully produced and sold DOZENS of info products. Yet, NONE of those things matters that much. What DOES matter is this: In the last 7 years, I haven't "worked" much.

[grav] - Shows the gravity of the product. The clickbank gravity tracks all the sales made.

Clickbank doesn't reveal exactly how they calculate that number.

Here are different strategies that clickbank affiliates use with Adwords:

1. Bidding On The Specific Product Name - With this method you are trying to monetize on the traffic generated by other affiliates. When a specific product makes a lot of sales it becomes popular on the Internet and a lot of people will search for its name on all major search engines. This allows you to tap into highly targeted visitors that are ready to buy. Cost per click could be high if the product gets a lot of searches.

2. Using Massive Relevant Keyword Lists - By utilizing this method you could generate a lot of cheap traffic. Another thing you should consider is that the more popular clickbank product is the higher chance that your cookie will get overwritten by another affiliate.

What you should watch for when choosing a clickbank product

I have to say that there are a lot of bad products in the CB marketplace as well. Some of them don't even convert. You don't want to choose a product with a sales page that can't convert your traffic into sales, otherwise you could waste a lot of money on advertising.

This product is one of the best selling products for newbies on clickbank

Make sure that the salespage doesn't have an affiliate signup link. Believe it or not, but people can buy through their own affiliate links and steal your commissions. If the vendor has a link to the affiliate sign up page your potential customer could remove your clickbank ID and insert his/her own.

This of course doesn't apply to all the niches. Mostly products that sell in the "Business To Business", "Marketing & Ads", and "Money & Employment" categories. If you pay for traffic then you should definitely watch for the affiliate sign up link on vendor's salespage.

Clickbank Vendor Guide:

CB attracts a lot of merchants due to its huge affiliate network. If the product is good and converts then you could easily dominate the marketplace in your niche, which would also attract a lot of affiliates. Clickbank charges $49.95 one time fee to activate your account for selling. CB also charges fees per each transaction which is $1 + 7.5%. This actually might seem very high compared to other payment processors, but the fact that clickbank has a lot of affiliates makes it not an issue.

How to start selling through clickbank:

It's easy! All you have to do is sign up for an account and submit a product for approval. Once CB approves your product you will need to pay the activation fee and you are ready to start selling.

Before submitting the product for approval, you must have your salespage ready and the thank you page. Clickbank might also review your product itself to check if it complies with their TOS. Also make a test purchase to check if everything works correctly.

Next you should categorize your product. Simply choose what categories you want your product to be listed in.

How to attract affiliates:

First of all, you should make your listing headline catch attention of the affiliates browsing through the marketplace. You could also remove the affiliate sign up link from your salespage if your product is related to affiliate marketing. That's because a lot of your customers are aware of how clickbank works and might buy through their own hoplinks.

I also suggest that you cloak the order link, because it displays your vendor ID. It's too easy for people to generate their own clickbank link if they know your vendor ID.

Test your salespage for conversions. The higher your conversions the more affiliates your product will attract, which of course will make you a lot more sales.

Advertise your affiliate program in all major affiliate directories. Go to Google and search for websites where you could list your affiliate program.

Participate in affiliate marketing forums and network with other affiliates. You would be surprised how well this works.

You, the affiliate, via your website, or any other means drive traffic to a merchant’s site. The merchant may be selling a product eg DVDs or e books, or they may be trying to sign on clients eg a bank. The merchant pays you a commission once the visitor has completed the desired action eg bought a product or completed a registration form

The beauty of this is, once your site is up and running, you can continue to earn money from it whether you are in bed, on holiday or sleeping. This is called passive income. It is passive because after the initial effort of researching your chosen market, building a website and setting up your campaign, you can continue to earn from this with very minimal day to day input in your campaign.

Say, for example, a company manufactures Product X and that company has a website and affiliate program. You like the look of the product and are interested in promoting it. You build a content rich website about some related matter, apply to the company’s affiliate program and get an affiliate link.

The link given to you is unique to you and contains your affiliate ID [a number or your affiliate name]. The link allows the merchant to track sales generated from your visitors so that you get your commission for sales generated via that link.

Place this link on your site and drive traffic to it. Every time someone clicks on that link on your website and then buys product X, you get a commission.
